Our Waste Services team forms part of Sustainable Monash, providing a range of asset cleansing services, operating a highly regarded Recycling and Waste Centre and supported by a highly competent administration and customer service team. We are currently seeking an energised individual to join a dynamic and committed team within Waste Services for an exciting casual opportunity!

About the Position

We are seeking Casual Waste Services Operators to fill roles in the Asset Cleansing team. The main role starts at 7am and includes litter control, cleansing tasks in activity centres and assisting our litter bin clearance team. Opportunities also operating street sweepers and garbage trucks if you have a medium rigid licence and experience and available to start before 6am. We pride our ourselves on our values based culture and commitment to providing excellent waste services to our community. Please note this is a Casual position with no set hours and would suit students and those seeking casual hours.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working in a team environment and following procedures
  • Preferred experience working outdoors
  • Commitment in consistently delivering high quality customer experience

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Commitment to contributing to safe work environment
  • Outstanding commitment to customer service
  • Physical capability to work outdoors 
  • Medium Rigid License (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check;
  • Pre-employment medical examination (including alcohol and drug test)
