About the Position
As a Children & Youth Officer, you will support the delivery of a range of programs and services for children, young people and families, including early literacy and school-aged activities. You will help create engaging and safe program environments while fostering participation and community connection.
You will also play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, supporting library operations and contributing to a positive and inclusive branch environment.
We have 2 positions available for 17.5 hours per week with the below shifts:
Position 1:
Monday & Tuesday - 7-hour shift, start and finish times vary across day and night shift
Wednesday - 9.00am -12.30pm
Position 2:
Wednesday & Thursday- 7-hour shift, start and finish times vary across day and night shift
Friday - 9.00am -12.30pm
Skills and Experience
- Experience delivering customer service in a community or public-facing setting
- Ability to support programs for children, young people and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required
- Demonstrated organisation skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Flexible and adaptable approach, including availability for evenings and weekends
Requirements
- A current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence
- Right to work in Australia
- Employee Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
