Shape how our customers experience Council online
We’re seeking a Digital Content Lead to shape and continuously improve content across Council’s digital channels, with a focus on delivering a clear, task focused and user‑centred website.
About the role
You will lead content strategy, standards and governance to ensure our digital services are easy to use, trusted and effective. Using data and user insights, you’ll drive improvements that increase digital uptake and enhance customer experience.
- Develop and implement a user‑centred content strategy
- Establish and embed content standards (accessibility, usability, SEO)
- Use data and insights to improve content and online form performance
- Partner with stakeholders to design effective, task-focused content
- Manage CMS governance, workflows and vendor relationships
- Build organisational capability in digital content and form design
- Ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and relevant legislation
About you
You are a hands-on digital content expert who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about improving customer experience.
You bring:
- Experience managing content for large, complex websites
- Strong expertise in content strategy, governance and UX principles
- Skilled in CMS platforms, analytics and SEO
- Data‑driven and customer‑focused
- Confident influencing stakeholders and leading change
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and AI search optimisation
