The Strategic Planning team is a small team of professionals delivering sound strategic planning policies, strategies and advice in the continually changing local government environment. As part of the City Development division, Strategic Planning works closely with other teams, internal and external stakeholders and the community.

About the Position

The position is part of a small team of professionals coordinating an integrated approach to planning, including transport, community services, urban design, place making, open space and other essential infrastructure. 

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, planning scheme amendments and policy development
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Thorough knowledge of the Victorian planning system

Requirements

  • A degree in Planning, Environment, Urban Design, Geography, Law, Economics or allied field.
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check; and
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
