About the Position

This position is pivotal in managing and enhancing our urban forest through advocacy, strategy development and implementation, and delivery of operational and capital works programs to ensure that we exceed our tree canopy target of 30% by 2040.

Skills and Experience

  • An experienced people leader with a growth mindset
  • Demonstrated and diverse knowledge of managing large tree populations in a public setting
  • A proven track record managing large service contracts and delivery of city greening projects  
  • Driven to exceed customer expectations
  • Passionate and knowledgeable in urban forest and city greening practices

Requirements

  • A tertiary (minimum Diploma level) qualification in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, or related qualification with extensive and diverse experience
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Working knowledge of the Electricity Safety Regulations
  • Employee Working with Children Check 
  • Satisfactory National Police Check; and
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
