Monash is looking for an exceptional Team Leader Brine Street Early Learning Centre. Our team leader will be a passionate and experienced early childhood professional, and ready to lead the deliver high-quality, inclusive, and innovative early learning programs in Hughesdale. 

About the Position

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre, leading  

  • a committed and experienced team
  • educational practice
  • compliance and quality
Your leadership will continue to build the collaborative and supportive environment at the service and the commitment to high quality services and programs for children, families, and staff. 

The main responsibilities will include:  

  • Effective leadership of Brine Street ELC, including the planning and delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant early learning programs
  • Leading and supporting the team 
  • Promoting a positive and engaged team culture 
  • Overseeing financial, administrative and educational leadership of the centre
  • Building relationships with families and the community
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Proven leadership and management experience in early childhood education and care services, ideally within a local government or community-based setting
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, NQS, EYLF and VEYLDF
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and support diverse teams, and to design, implement and evaluate high-quality, inclusive programs for children aged 0 – 5 years
  • Well-developed financial and operational management skills, including budgeting, fees, grants and service sustainability
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office and early years management systems
