About the Position
The Senior Infringement Review Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Council’s Infringement Review functions. This role requires a thorough understanding and application of legislation. Additionally, the position supports and assists the Prosecutions Coordinator.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in legislative interpretation of the Infringements Act 2006 and Fines Reform Act 2014 with practical application of legislative and organisational guidelines, processes and procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Infringements Management System and the Victorian Courts
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to prepare complex correspondence
- Ability to supervise and manage staff
- Experience in a fast-paced administrative environment, preferably in a regulatory environment, and including the use of a range of computer software and applications
- Ability to manage time, prioritise work and meet deadlines
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or diploma or substantial experience within an Infringement Review role
- Experience in legislative interpretation
- Experience in preparing complex correspondence
- Experience in a fast-paced administrative environment, preferably in regulatory environments, and including the use of a range of computer software and applications
- Experience in the practical application of legislative and organisation guidelines, processes and procedures
