About the Position
You will be part of a motivated Asset Protection Inspections Team, conducting asset inspections and ensuring compliance at construction sites across the municipality.
- Providing community advice, assistance and education regarding asset protection policy and associated local laws
- Inspecting and monitor construction sites to prevent or resolve damage or environmental hazards to Council assets
- Investigating and respond to complaints, effectively communicating with the community in resolving issues
- Undertake after hours building noise inspections as required
Skills and Experience
- Experience in undertaking an Asset Protection or Law Enforcement role
- Skills in investigation and resolving complaints and breaches of relevant legislation and Local Laws
- Ability to interpret relevant legislation, gather evidence, issue Infringements, Summonses and Court Briefs
- Detailed understanding of traffic and pedestrian management practices to maintain safety
- Ability to communicate complex information to a range of stakeholders, work independently and use conflict resolution techniques
- Understanding of reinstatement standards for Council assets
- Ability to input and retrieve data, maintain records and prepare correspondence
- Ability to manage time, plan and prioritise work; meet deadlines and targets and have sound analytical and conceptual skills
Requirements
- Satisfactory National Police Check; and
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
