About the Position

You will be part of a motivated Asset Protection Inspections Team, conducting asset inspections and ensuring compliance at construction sites across the municipality.

• Providing community advice, assistance and education regarding asset protection policy and associated local laws
• Inspecting and monitor construction sites to prevent or resolve damage or environmental hazards to Council assets
• Investigating and respond to complaints, effectively communicating with the community in resolving issues 
• Undertake after hours building noise inspections as required

Skills and Experience

• Experience in undertaking an Asset Protection or Law Enforcement role
• Skills in investigation and resolving complaints and breaches of relevant legislation and Local Laws
• Ability to interpret relevant legislation, gather evidence, issue Infringements, Summonses and Court Briefs   
• Detailed understanding of traffic and pedestrian management practices to maintain safety
• Ability to communicate complex information to a range of stakeholders, work independently and use conflict resolution techniques
• Understanding of reinstatement standards for Council assets
• Ability to input and retrieve data, maintain records and prepare correspondence
• Ability to manage time, plan and prioritise work; meet deadlines and targets and have sound analytical and conceptual skills

Requirements

• Satisfactory National Police Check; and
• Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
