City of Monash is a dynamic organisation committed to providing excellence in service delivery. Located in the eastern region, Monash is a cosmopolitan and culturally diverse city, close to the demographic centre of Melbourne.

The Children, Youth and Family Services department at Monash is future-focused, community-driven, and passionate about helping children, young people, families, and the broader community thrive. We deliver high-quality services and infrastructure, plan for long-term needs, build strong partnerships, and advocate for inclusive, evidence-based outcomes. Together, we’re shaping a stronger Monash through innovation, collaboration and impact.

The Social Planning and Infrastructure team leads strategic planning to ensure Monash’s early years infrastructure and services meet contemporary community needs. Our work is grounded in evidence-based research and guided by the voices of children and families. In partnership with the Victorian Government, we’ve delivered four integrated Child and Family Hubs and three standalone kindergartens. We’re now developing a new Children, Youth and Family Services Infrastructure Plan to support future builds and align with the Best Start Best Life reform.
