About the Position
The Senior DT Project Manager will be responsible for managing key Council Technology projects, including coordinating and completing projects within budget and scope and on time. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and tracking and summarising project progress.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in managing complex technology projects, including planning, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and scope.
- Proven ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders, manage relationships, and ensure project deliverables align with stakeholder expectations.
- Strong leadership skills to lead and manage diverse teams, including technical resources and business analysts, and the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- High-level analytical and investigative skills to develop and implement strategic and operational projects within a broad organizational framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to produce accurate project status reports, liaise with stakeholders, and present material to executive-level stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in change management, including the ability to steer and implement change, deal with uncertainty, and achieve desired outcomes through collaboration and partnership.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications (e.g., Degree or Diploma in Project Management) and extensive relevant industry experience.
- Understanding of the Local Government environment and its complexities is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders to collaboratively achieve change.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
