The Finance Services department contributes to the provision of high-quality financial services to the Monash City Council.
About the Position
Council is seeking an enthusiastic and competent person with existing accounts receivable skills which can be developed and enhanced in providing support to the Senior Accounts Receivable officer. The position is responsible for raising invoices, maintaining customer accounts and debt recovery. Providing guidelines and support to all departments and ensuring compliance with GST legislative obligations and corporate policies.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in Local Government accounts receivable function and a willingness to develop those skills
- Proven experience with key Accounts Receivable functions and systems
- The demonstrated ability to work in a motivated team environment
- The ability to communicate with customers in a courteous and tactful manner
- Demonstrated experience in data entry and an understanding of integrated software packages
- Sound communication skills both verbal and written, including the ability to competently prepare correspondence and reports
- Highly developed inter-personal and negotiation skills
