The Monash Meals team is a small, friendly team that operates out of the Mount Waverley office. Monash Meals is part of the larger Aged and Home Support team that works from the Glen Waverley Civic Centre.

About the Position

This position is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of Monash Meals services to residents in the City of Monash in line with the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). The Team Leader will oversee three Administration staff and a pool of Volunteers, while work alongside a Meals contractor, to deliver a Meals program to the ageing clients in the municipality.

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and other relevant quality assurance systems
  • Skills to work with aging clients and their carers, especially in regards to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds 
  • Ability to manage and lead a team through change
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate clearly with staff, volunteers and external stake holders
  • Knowledge of GoldCare or similar client data base

Requirements

  • Suitable qualifications or vast experience in assessment or Community Services
  • Sound understanding of CHSP and My Aged Care
  • Experience in staff management
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Experience in customer services in dealing with people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences
  • Valid Driver’s licence
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check 
  • Satisfactory National Police Check; and
  • Pre-employment medical check
