About Sustainable Monash

About the Position
As the Multicultural Engagement Officer, you will lead culturally inclusive education and engagement programs to support Monash’s waste and recycling services. You will work closely with Mandarin and Cantonese-speaking communities to reduce contamination and improve resource recovery outcomes.
Skills and Experience
- Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
- Strong understanding of multicultural engagement and community development
- Knowledge of waste, recycling, and sustainability issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including bilingual content creation
- Ability to manage time, set priorities, and work independently
- Experience in delivering education and engagement programs
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Education, Community Development or related field, or equivalent experience
- Employee Working with Children’s Check
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Current Victorian Driver Licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
