Waste Operations consists of the operation of the Monash Recycling and Waste Centre and waste programs that include street sweeping, litter bin clearance and collection of dumped rubbish. The Waste Customer Experience team support the delivery of all our internal waste operations, as well as contracted services featuring the kerbside bin collection and bin maintenance, annual hard waste collection and at-call hard waste collection.  

About the Position

The Team Leader is responsible for leading the waste customer experience team. The successful candidate will have a passion for enhancing the customer experience of Council's waste services, as well as leading and developing others. 

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in leading a team in customer service/administration
  • Demonstrated ability to develop team skills and competencies
  • Highly developed level of customer service
  • Demonstrated experience implementing improvements to enhance customer experience
  • Local government experience is advantageous

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in business/administration or relevant field and experience OR substantial experience in administration/customer service
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check 
  • Satisfactory National Police Check; and
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
