The Community Amenity Department consists of four teams: Community Laws, Public Health, Business Support and Contracts & Strategy.
The Infringement Review Officers conduct appeals relating to issued Infringement Notices. The Infringement Review team ensures all infringements follow the infringement lifecycle according to statutory rules.
About the Position
The infringement review officer functions and responsibilities include periodically reporting to the Attorney General, registering Infringements with Fines Victoria, assessing driver nominations and review payment plan requests.
They also provide administrative support to the prosecutions function including record keeping and archiving.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in legislative interpretation and the practical application of legislative and organisational guidelines, processes and procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Infringements Management System and the Victorian Courts
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to prepare complex correspondence
- Experience in a fast-paced administrative environment, preferably in a regulatory environment, and including the use of a range of computer software and applications
- Ability to manage time, prioritise work and meet deadlines
