Our Lifeguard's primary role is to supervise guests who are engaged in aquatic activities at Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Clayton Aquatics and Health Club and Oakleigh Recreation Centre and to ensure the provision of a safe and secure venue for our patrons.

About the Position

Casual Lifeguard opportunities exist for dynamic, motivated and suitably experienced individuals to become part of the Lifeguard team at the Active Monash leisure facilities. Applicants will have a strong commitment to providing a customer focused, friendly and safe aquatic environment for all guests engaged in aquatic activities within the centres.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant qualifications (Pool Lifeguard Award, Senior First Aid and CPR) and experience in Lifeguarding and supervising aquatic environments
• Sound customer service skills and ability to respond to customer complaints
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to effectively maintain control and concentration over a dynamic workplace
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Applicants need only apply if they are available for a variety of daytime, night and weekend shifts as well as readily available over the summer period

Requirements

• Pool Lifeguard Qualification
• Level 2 Workplace First Aid
• CPR Qualification
• Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
• Satisfactory National Police Check
• Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
