We’re looking for an experienced Learn to Swim Team Leader to help drive the delivery of our Swimming and Water Safety programs across Active Monash facilities.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support the Learn to Swim Coordinator, guide and mentor instructors, and help ensure every lesson delivers confidence, safety, and fun in the water.
About the Position
- Support the day-to-day operations of Learn to Swim and School Swimming programs
- Provide on-deck leadership to Swimming & Water Safety Teachers and Pool Deck Supervisors
- Assist with staff training, development and rostering
- Ensure programs operate in line with policies, safety standards and child-safe practices
- Contribute to program growth, engagement and customer satisfaction
- Help maintain a welcoming, professional and community-focused aquatic environment
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people leadership, operational support, and quality service delivery.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working in Learn to Swim and/or School Swimming programs
- Confidence leading, supporting and developing aquatic staff
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to manage priorities, solve problems and support a busy program environment
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to safety, inclusion and team culture
Requirements
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Licence
- Current Working with Children Check
- Level 2 First Aid with current CPR
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
