About the Position
The Payroll Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s payroll processes comply with all relevant laws and regulations. This role is responsible for the overseeing the day-to-day activities of the payroll operations, conducting audits, and implementing policies to maintain compliance. Will provide high level systems administration and technical support for the HR/Payroll system, and training to system users. The Payroll Compliance Lead will work closely with the HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience in payroll function in a medium to large-sized organisation
- Current knowledge of all relevant legislative requirements such as ATO rulings, Fringe Benefit Tax and Superannuation
- High level conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions and outcomes to Payroll issues and to drive enhancements to the payroll system
- Strong customer service orientation and service delivery
- Excellent knowledge of, and extensive experience with, computerised payroll systems, including software functionality
Requirements
- Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
- Satisfactory National Police Check; and
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
