About the Position
The Resource Recovery Transition Officer supports the rollout of Council’s waste reforms, including the separate waste charge and new Resource Recovery Policy. The role ensures smooth service transitions, clear communication, and community engagement, while also reviewing waste management plans to support continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with residents, property managers, and internal teams
• Ability to interpret Waste Management Plans, technical drawings, and service infrastructure requirements
• Ability to interpret data and prepare reports to inform decision-making
• Capable of coordinating multiple tasks and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in delivering community education and promoting sustainable waste practices
• Ability to coordinate service transition activities
