Monash Family Services is part of Children Youth and Family Services within the Community Services Division. 

The position is responsible for the support of families with children 0-18 in the form of assessment, in home parenting support, information provision, counselling and referral.

About the Position 

This position is to support vulnerable and at risk families with children aged 0 - 17 years and promote parenting capacity and capabilities using evidence-based approaches in the family home.  

The Integrated Family Services Worker will maintain collaborative relationships with other service providers to ensure co-operative working relationships and seamless service delivery to families.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in working with families and individuals who are at risk
  • Ability to provide a range of interventions, including conducting complex assessments and utilising solution focused, strengths based interventions
  • Ability to provide support and guidance to colleagues and other service providers as necessary
  • Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Experience and or knowledge in working with The Orange Door, Protective Services and other key stakeholders
  • Experience in case planning and case management approaches

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Human Services discipline or other relevant discipline
  • Qualification and current registration in Social Work, Psychology or other related field
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
