The Social Inclusion team provides practical assistance and meaningful activities to help older adults maintain their independence and well-being. Through group in-house programs and outings, the team fosters social connections and enhances the quality of life for participants.
About the Position
The Social Inclusion Program Assistant plays a key role in supporting programs that help older adults stay socially connected and engaged. They assist with program delivery, participant engagement, and administrative tasks to ensure inclusive and meaningful experiences for the community.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in community programs, aged care, or social support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with participants
- Ability to assist with program delivery and administrative tasks
- Organisational skills to manage programs and outings
- Capacity to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and participants
- A proactive and inclusive approach to supporting older adults
Requirements
- Possession of a minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, formal qualification in related discipline, or relevant experience in the support services industry
- Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
- Applicants must have the ability to drive a 10-seater bus (standard driver’s license required), with training available for the right candidate
