The Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator's primary objective is to ensure that all employees adopt and adhere to the vision 'Participate Your Way' and have the ability to implement this inclusive focus into everyday work life.
In collaboration with all People Leaders, the primary focus of the position revolves around four main areas, in order to develop inclusive strategies and actions that work effectively:
- Employee Training and Development / Human Resources
- Program Development
- Marketing
- Centre Wide Initiatives
Skills and Experience
- Deliver engaging and meaningful training for employees on key identified inclusion topics.
- Review and respond to program development needs to increase opportunities for participation for our diverse community
- Enhance employment opportunities and experiences to ensure they reflect inclusive practices
- Increase awareness and education of inclusive programs and days of significance through strong strategic planning
- Engage community with inclusive opportunities for participation and social inclusion
Requirements
- Relevant Degree or Diploma or proven experience and achievements in regards to inclusion
- Experience with networking, engaging, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and local organisations
- Experience in liaising with community groups, schools, and the general public.
- Current CPR
- Working with Children Check
- Safeguarding Children Certificate
