The City Planning Unit is responsible for the delivery of statutory planning services within the City of Monash.

About the Position

If you are a planner looking for a start in your career or career progression, this is the opportunity to work within our Statutory Planning Team on a permanent and full time basis.  This role provides an opportunity to work within a large team of planners in a friendly and supportive environment.

The role will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of applications including residential development, Vic Smart planning application,  subdivision, commercial and industrial developments.  Experience of dealing with customers and clear communication skills would be an advantage.

Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of statutory planning, and related legislation
  • Good customer service skills
  • Developed analytical skills and report writing

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in urban planning
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check; and
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
