About the Position

As the Library Technology Support Officer your key responsibility is to provide excellent customer service and to supervise, lead and motivate the frontline line circulation team at Oakleigh Library. 

The incumbent will also work as part of the library technology team providing training and support to library staff with the use of equipment and technology and assisting with IT troubleshooting in branches. 

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence, including the ability to deal with difficult customers 
  • Proven expertise in the technological area and current knowledge of technology including online resources, library management systems, mobile device technology, social media applications and emerging technologies 
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team 
  • Ability to liaise effectively with community groups; council staff and other external agencies 
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

  • A current and valid Victorian Drivers License
  • Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
