The MCH and Immunisation team is part of the Child, Youth and Family department within Community Services division.
About the Position
The Maternal Child Health Specialised Programs Team Leader will provide exceptional leadership and operational oversight to a high-functioning team, ensuring service excellence and best practice standards. This role is responsible for supporting the coordination, partnerships, planning, development and management of Enhanced Maternal and Child Health, Sleep and Settling, Outreach, Breastfeeding services, MCH University students and graduates, within the City of Monash. The Specialised Programs Team Leader provides leadership to these teams to ensure they fulfil the Maternal and Child Health Program Guidelines and Standards and City of Monash's policies and procedures and all legal obligations. The team leader will drive positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families in the City of Monash through strong organisation, collaboration, and a commitment to quality, safe, and responsive care that meet State and Local Government objectives and targets. This position forms part of the Monash Maternal and Child Health Leadership team as is required to deputise for the Coordinator of MCH and Immunisation and/or Universal Team Leader.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Registered Nurse (Div1) and Registered Midwife with AHPRA with additional post graduate qualifications in Maternal and Child Health Nursing
- Demonstrated experience in leadership setting in MCH, Nursing or midwifery
- Demonstrated experience in Enhanced MCH highly desirable
- Nurse Immunisation qualifications and experience highly desirable
- Current Victorian driver's license and use of own car
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and phone system, including Child Development Information System (CDIS) software, Microsoft Word and Excel, internet, Outlook email program and CISCO phones
