The Community Amenity Department consists of four teams: Community Laws, Public Health, Business Support and Contracts & Strategy.
The primary role of these teams is to ensure that regulatory controls are complied with to help Monash residents enjoy amenity, maintain a safe environment and manage issues that may cause a nuisance.
About the Position
The Senior Infringement Review Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Council’s Infringement Review functions.
In addition to conducting reviews, the position supervises staff involved in infringement assessments and manages administrative functions across all aspects of infringement lifecycles.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the Infringement Management System and the Victorian Courts
- Sound ability to effectively utilise a range of computer software and applications
- Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and analyse complex correspondence and prepare return correspondence that is of a high standard, that adequately, appropriately and comprehensively responds to all of the matters raised
- Demonstrated ability in managing staff
