- Salary ranging between $66,824-$72,942, plus superannuation
- Plus overtime, allowances and monthly RDO

Based out of Notting Hill, the Waste Services Operator undertakes a variety of tasks to deliver responsive and quality waste services throughout the City of Monash, including street sweeping, litter bin clearance and other cleansing activities. The position reports to the Supervisor Asset Cleansing.
About the position
The successful candidate will have a background operating machines, working outdoors and in team environments. The person will take immense pride in their work and understand the importance of delivering waste services to the Monash community. Also, the successful applicant will be flexible and wiling to learn and share their knowledge and experience.
Skills and Experience
- Trade of TAFE Certificate, or an industry-based training course, or highly relevant experience
- Waste and/or Cleansing operations or service industry experience desirable
- Proficiency in the operation of a Medium Rigid (minimum requirement) with experience in the operation of other plant and machinery (highly regarded)
- The ability to liaise and develop ongoing working relationships within a diverse team
- Customer service focus with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Additional requirements
- Ability to work flexible work hours outside the normal spread of hours (6am - 6pm) when required, including night shift, early start and weekend shifts
- Satisfactory Police Check
- Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical assessment
