- Use your skills and experience to provide support in daily tasking for clients aged over 65 to enable them to continue living independently in their homes
- The opportunity to have the support of a large team in the background with the ability to work on your own with different clients throughout the day
About the Role:
This unique opportunity encompasses the following responsibilities, working with frail aged clients over 65 years of age in their homes undertaking:
- Domestic cleaning tasks including, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, changing of beds etc.(80% of the tasking)
- Personal Care: assist clients with showering, grooming, dressing
- Respite Care: providing respite for Primary Carers, caring for clients whilst carer has a break
- Monitor wellbeing of clients and provide feedback to a Team Leader
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum Certificate III qualification, (Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Cert III Individual Support), including completion of Personal Care unit and placement/experience.
- Experience working with elderly clients and understanding of the issues faced by elderly people living at home
- Excellent Communication skills to negotiate with clients and their families and office staff
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from different cultural and health and disability backgrounds
Additional requirement:
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence and own roadworthy vehicle
- Preferred First Aid and updated CPR
- Availability to work 3-5 days per week (Monday to Friday only)
- Access to a smart phone and email and understanding of their operation
