This opportunity is a true generalist role reporting to the Talent Lead and is an instrumental contributor to the success of the Talent function.
About the Position
As a Talent Business Partner, you'll play a key role in partnering with senior leaders to provide HR operational advice. This includes attraction, sourcing, workforce planning, succession planning, organisational design, and policy application.
By partnering with stakeholders, you will provide people-focused advice, develop talent policies, and deliver training. You'll support daily activities and partner with a Talent Officer. Collaboration with the broader People and Safety team ensures consistent support and strategic alignment. This role also involves managing agency recruitment spend, promoting Monash careers, and contributing to HR process improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of human resource principles and practices, including familiarity with Public Sector policies and employment legislation. Experience in partnering with senior leaders and managing complex projects is essential, along with proficiency in HR systems such as PageUp and Aurion. Excellent data analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerBI, are required to interpret organisational strategy and reports.
Leadership skills, including time management, prioritisation, and stakeholder influence, are crucial. Interpersonal skills are also vital for building relationships across the organisation and providing mentorship to team members. Qualifications in Human Resources or related fields are necessary. Effective communication, both verbal and written, and the ability to contribute to strategy planning are also key requirements.
