About the Position
As Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Service Engineer, you will design, implement, and support Council’s infrastructure and cloud platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and security. You will lead technical improvements, automate and standardise services, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver resilient solutions that meet organisational outcomes.
Skills and Experience
- Broad level of experience and knowledge in managing a complex and extensive ICT environment and services
- Experience/understanding of industry best practices in relation to DT infrastructure support and service delivery
- Be able to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure in alignment with business and technical requirements
- Must have experience with Azure services including virtual machines, networking, storage, backup, and platform services (PaaS)
- Implement and maintain Azure security controls, identity and access management, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organisational standards
- Monitor system performance, availability, and cost efficiency using Azure-native monitoring and optimisation tools, and implement improvements as required
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology/Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience)
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
