    Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) is searching for a Marketing and Communications Lead to lead the planning and delivery of marketing, PR, and stakeholder communications across the organisation.

    About the Position:

    This is an exciting part-time (27 hours per week) opportunity to work with the Gallery Director to lead the development and implementation of a re-branding strategy as MGA makes the exciting transition to its new identity as the Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh). To move effectively to this new positioning, MGA will need to revitalise its existing digital strategy, including the development of a new website and virtual gallery experience. This roll will be tasked with driving the transformation of the organisation’s online experience for both new and existing audiences and deliver contemporary e-commerce solutions.

    In this position, you will be intricately connected to all aspects of MGA’s operations, supporting in the roll out of exhibitions, collections, education programs, public programs, retail, philanthropy and sponsorship.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Degree in business, strategy, marketing or related discipline
    • Further qualifications/certification in digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads and/or Facebook Blueprint
    • Experience delivering re-branding, marketing and/or communications strategies for an arts organisation or within the wider creative industry
    • Experience connected to the website creation process, digital applications, website analytics tools (google analytics), website performance management and marketing automation (MA)
    • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking

    Requirement of the position:

    • Satisfactory National Police Check; and
    • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.

    Essential Information:

    In accordance with the Chief Health Officer direction, all local government employees must be fully vaccinated from 26 November, 2021. Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
