Located in the eastern region, Monash is a cosmopolitan and culturally diverse city close to the demographic centre of Melbourne. The Monash Maternal and Child Health Service provides health and developmental assessments for all families with young children aged from birth to 6 years. We offer professional guidance from our ten Maternal and Child Health Centres with administration support from a central booking service. We have strong alliances with other community services and encourage referrals into local support services. We operate within a team approach to provide an efficient, accountable and respectful Maternal Child Health Service. 

We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, flexible and agile in service delivery with demonstrated ability to support families to access MCH services at various locations. The successful candidates will have a focused approach to support physical, emotional and social factors affecting families in contemporary communities with demonstrated experience implementing innovative strategies to support engagement. The candidates will have skills in facilitating group programs both face to face and through online mediums. Appropriate professional attitude and approach with exhibited ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants require following skills and qualifications:  

  • Qualification as Registered Nurse in Victoria
  • Qualifications as a registered Midwife
  • Post graduate Qualifications in Maternal and Child Health. 
  • Current annual registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as both a Rn and Midwife. 
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children Check.

Additional requirements:

  • All candidates must hold a current Working with Children Check (employees) and will be required to undertake a National Police Check prior to commencement in the role.
