This is an engaging, newly created role within the planning team with a VCAT focus.
You will be responsible for facilitating the Council’s busy appeals schedule. This role will provide for the coordination of appeal work with consulting and legal firms, involve representing Council at the Tribunal and provide support and mentorship for younger planners with their appeal work.
Monash handle approximately 200 appeals per year, some of which can be complex and challenging. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a planner who enjoys the thrill of defending council decisions at Tribunal.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in planning advocacy at VCAT, panel hearings and similar forums.
